Welcome to the homepage of the HOGWARTS PLAYERS,
the drama club at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. We're beginning our exciting new season after a long hiatus
with Les Miserables: Student Edition.
Our last musical was Jesus Christ, Superstar, starring
Draco Malfoy as Jesus of Nazareth. He far surpassed his past work in the Hogwarts productions of Grease
(he played the role of Danny), and Little Shop of Horrors (Mr. Mushnik). Of course, Jesus Christ, Superstar
got a bit lost in the hoopla over the escape of convicted murderer Sirius Black.
Then, there were two full years without any production at all--first
because of the Triwizard Tournament, then because Dolores Umbridge, Hogwarts High Inquisitor, banned the drama program.
But now we're back, and chomping at the bit to get started!
We have some new faces this year: Harry Potter, The Boy Who Lived himself, is absolutely astounding in his
debut as Jean Valjean. We also welcome back students who have been Hogwarts Players for years.
This promises to be a groundbreaking season!
